Sony M-2000 Review: Sony M-2000 Microcassette Transcriber. I've been transcribing with an Olympus for six years. I needed another machine, so I bought the Sony M-2000...not a great product for the money. Even if you have the volume turned all the way up to 10 (highest), you can't hear the person very well and there's a muffled quality, even with the tone on high.
