Leica 40400 Review: Leica 8-12x42 Duovid Binocular (Black). After using the lecia 10x25bca's while birdwatching in Central America I decided to move up a notch and try the duovid's. After seeing guides use the russian optics I was hesitate to purchase these. But what a difference!!!! These are as bright as any bino's I've used. The quality is top notch. The engineering is very user friendly. A bit heavy compared to the 10X25's but you get two magnification's for the price of one. Great for use at low light situations (dawn till dusk).
